Internship Programs

Wahdy Capital provides educational internships to students and investors on a rolling basis. These roles are unpaid and typically run for a quarter or year. Interns work remotely and will need access to a computer and the internet.

Current Openings

Fundamental Equity Research Intern

Under direct supervision of the portfolio manager, the equity research intern will learn how to cover, analyze, and present companies.

Duties

  • Learn financial modeling and analysis

  • Cover 10-20 stocks (includes building financial and peer models)

  • Draft and present notes, write ups, and reviews on companies

  • Attend events (earnings calls, analyst days, industry events, etc.)

  • Meet virtually with portfolio manager 3x weekly

  • Additional ad hoc or team related work

Requirements

  • Desire to learn how to conduct fundamental equity research

  • PC literate (experience with MS Excel and MS Word)

  • Minimum 10 hours per week

  • US-based person

Ideal Qualifications

  • Current student

  • Completion of finance, economics, and accounting courses

  • Prior financial modeling or analysis experience

  • Interested in pursuing a career in financial markets

Intern candidates will need to sign an NDA and internship agreement if selected.

Macro Research Intern

Under direct supervision of the portfolio manager, the macro research intern will learn how to cover, analyze, and present economic data with a focus on central banks, exchange rates (FX), and interest rates ("rates").

Duties

  • Learn economic modeling and analysis

  • Cover 3-5 central banks and economies, yield curve, and exchange rate vs. large trade partners and the USD

  • Draft and present notes, write ups, and reviews on companies

  • Attend events virtually (central bank events, economic releases, commodities events, etc.)

  • Meet virtually with portfolio manager 3x weekly

  • Additional ad hoc or team related work

Requirements

  • Desire to learn how to conduct economic research

  • PC literate (experience with MS Excel and MS Word)

  • Minimum 10 hours per week

  • US-based person

Ideal Qualifications

  • Current student

  • Completion of finance, economics, and accounting courses

  • Prior financial modeling or analysis experience

  • Python or R experience

  • Interested in pursuing a career in financial markets
